ATARAXIA
BIO
Hey, I'm Ataraxia. I'm a bedroom producer that makes electronic music of several different genres. Just about all of my work is aggressive and energetic, occasionally to the point where some may just call it noise. I believe that music should not be a product or thing to be owned, but a form of art to be constantly iterated upon and modified to create something new. My main influences include Camellia, Kobaryo, Kurokotei, DM DOKURO, and Halley Labs/Lapfox Trax, just to name a few. My DAW and synth of choice are FL Studio 21 and Serum, and everything else can be found for free somewhere on the internet.
USE POLICY
TL;DR, you can use and do (almost) whatever you want with my work as long as credit is given, and sampling my work is always okay even without credit. If you're not sure, feel free to ask.
When it's okay to use my work
You're allowed to use my work in videos, streams, rhythm game charts, etc, commercial or otherwise, as long as proper credit is given. Linking back to here or another site I'm on is preferred and appreciated, but not required. You may not reupload my work without somehow transformatively building upon it. That means you cannot directly repost, whether you claim it as your own or otherwise, extend, or upload nightcore/daycore/slowed + reverb + rain versions of my work, etc. That also includes uploading my work to sites that I'm not on. I won't go after you and copyright claim what you upload, but please respect my wishes.
Remixes and sampling
You're allowed to remix, cover, transcribe, arrange, etc. my work and publish it (commercially or otherwise) to any site except Spotify, but please do not upload it to a content ID database as they only serve to hamper creativity, and the systems that enforce them are extremely overbearing. You're allowed to sample and use melodies, chord progressions, basslines, etc from my work for use in your own projects with no strings attached, and no credit needed. If you need stems, midi, or other resources, feel free to contact me.
WHERE TO FIND ME
Currently the only places I publish my work are Youtube, Soundcloud, Newgrounds, and Bandcamp. You can find links to them below. My backlog is free to download on Bandcamp with the option to pay if you want, but going forward projects that take significant effort (such as albums) will have a minimum price. If you need to contact me you can DM me on Discord at ataraxia4977.
